Determine Braid Configuration

Unbraided corrugated hose is suitable for low-pressure gas and steam applications where mechanical protection is not required. Single braid (the most common configuration) covers working pressures from 10 bar (150 mm bore) to 110 bar (6 mm bore). Double braid is specified when single braid working pressure is insufficient. For very high pressures, confirm the required working pressure against the bore size before ordering.

Select Bore Size by Flow Rate

SS flexible hose pipe is available from 6 mm to 150 mm bore. Select bore size based on your required flow rate and acceptable pressure drop — not just the pipe size at the connection point. Undersizing bore increases velocity, pressure drop, and erosion. For steam and gas applications, velocity limits are more critical than for liquid applications. Specify Static or Dynamic Service

The specification table lists two bend radii: Bend Radius S (static installation — hose is bent once during installation and remains fixed) and Bend Radius F (dynamic/flexible service — hose flexes repeatedly in operation). Always use the correct bend radius for your application. Exceeding the minimum bend radius causes fatigue failure of the corrugations. For vibration absorption and thermal expansion compensation, use the dynamic (F) bend radius.
