Industrial Air Hose 20 Bar Manufacturer in India
A heavy-duty compressed air hose that exceeds IS 446 Type 2, in bores from 1/2″ to 2″ (12.50 to 50.00 mm) at a working pressure of 300 PSI / 20 BAR. Minimum burst is 900 PSI / 60 BAR. Built for compressors working in shipyards, refineries and on site.

What this grade is
This is the pressure grade of our air line. It is built past the requirement of IS 446 Type 2 and holds 300 PSI / 20 BAR with a minimum burst of 900 PSI / 60 BAR, roughly double the working pressure of the 10 bar IS 446 Type 1 grade. Say it plainly: this hose exceeds IS 446 Type 2. It is not BIS licensed and we do not describe it as certified.
The reinforcement is high-tenacity synthetic textile yarn braid, so it stays workable in the hand rather than behaving like a steel-braided line. The service band runs −30 °C to +80 °C, wider than the 10 bar grade at both ends, which is what makes it the usual choice for outdoor compressor service on a shipyard or a refinery shutdown.

What this product is not rated for
Naming the limit is part of specifying correctly. If your duty sits outside any of these, say so when you enquire and we will point you at the right grade.
- Not BIS licensed. This grade exceeds IS 446 Type 2. It carries no BIS licence and no CM/L number, and we never write BIS certified about it. Our BIS-licensed grades are Water Hose Type 2 and Air Hose Types 1 and 2.
- Not rated above 300 PSI / 20 BAR. For rock drill and quarry duty at 510 PSI / 35 BAR, use the steel-braided air and rock drill hose.
- Not rated outside −30 °C to +80 °C. Ask us before ordering for anything hotter or colder.
- Not a steam hose. Steam needs an EPDM tube and a wire braid. See the 10 bar and 17 bar steam grades.
- Not an abrasive media hose. Air carrying sand or grit strips a plain air hose. Blast duty needs a sand blast hose.
Where it is used
Applications named in the catalogue for this grade, industry by industry.

Questions
What is a 20 bar air hose?
A compressed air hose rated to a working pressure of 300 PSI / 20 BAR with a minimum burst of 900 PSI / 60 BAR. The Flexihose grade exceeds IS 446 Type 2 and is built for compressors in industry, construction, shipyards and refineries.
Is the 20 bar air hose BIS certified?
No, and it is worth being precise about it. This grade exceeds IS 446 Type 2, which means it is built past the standard's requirement but carries no BIS licence. Our BIS-licensed grades are Water Hose Type 2 and Air Hose Types 1 and 2.
What sizes does the 20 bar air hose come in?
Six bores: 1/2″ (12.50 mm), 3/4″ (20.00 mm), 1″ (25.00 mm), 1-1/4″ (31.50 mm), 1-1/2″ (38.00 mm) and 2″ (50.00 mm). Mean outside diameters run from 20.50 mm to 65.00 mm.
What is the burst pressure of the 20 bar air hose?
900 PSI / 60 BAR minimum, across the full bore range, against a working pressure of 300 PSI / 20 BAR.
What temperature range is it rated for?
−30 °C to +80 °C. That is wider at both ends than the 10 bar IS 446 Type 1 grade, which is rated −25 °C to +70 °C.
Can this hose be used for rock drills?
Not as a substitute for the dedicated grade. Rock drill service is 510 PSI / 35 BAR and uses a single braid of high-tensile brass-coated steel wire. Ask us for the air and rock drill hose instead.
Do you export this hose?
Yes. We supply across India and export to the GCC, Egypt, South Africa and the USA. Tell us the port and we will quote accordingly.
