An air / rock drill hose feeds compressed air to percussive tools — rock drills, jack hammers and breakers. It is built heavier than a general air hose because a percussive tool pulses the line thousands of times a minute rather than loading it steadily.
The lining is a nitrile-based compound, which matters: compressed air carries atomised compressor oil, and nitrile resists it where a natural rubber tube softens and swells.
Working pressure is 510 PSI / 35 BAR across every bore. Minimum burst is 2040 PSI / 140 BAR.

Why a rock drill hose is not a general air hose
A general air hose is specified for steady pressure. A rock drill pulses, and each pulse is a small pressure spike travelling back down the line. Over a shift that is hundreds of thousands of cycles, and it fatigues the reinforcement rather than bursting it.
That is why this grade carries a steel wire braid and a working pressure well above a workshop air line, and why the burst margin matters as much as the working figure. Specify the rock drill grade for percussive tools even where the compressor pressure looks modest.
Couplings and fittings
Use claw couplings with safety clips, or crimped ferrules, sized to the hose's mean outside diameter from the table above. Whip checks across every coupling are standard practice on percussive air and we would expect to see them on any UAE site.
A compressed-air hose that parts under pressure whips hard enough to injure. The coupling and the restraint are not accessories on this product; treat them as part of the specification.
What this hose is not for

Not BIS licensed.
This grade exceeds IS 446 Type 3 and carries no BIS licence. It may not be described as certified, compliant or conforming.
Not a breathing-air hose.
This carries tool air, not air for respiratory equipment. Breathing air has its own approvals regime and this hose is not part of it.
Not a water or chemical hose.
A nitrile tube built for oil-carrying compressed air is not the right lining for water service or chemical transfer.
Not a hydraulic hose.
Despite the wire braid, this is an air hose. Hydraulic duty needs the SAE or EN 856 grades, which are rated an order of magnitude higher.

What is the HS code?
We do not publish one, because classification is the importer's declaration and an error at your border is your cost rather than ours. Our export desk states the code we invoice under on the quotation so your broker can confirm it against the current UAE tariff schedule.
What length is supplied?

How do I get a quotation?

Why is a rock drill hose rated higher than a normal air hose?
Because percussive tools pulse the line. Each blow sends a pressure spike back down the hose, so the reinforcement is loaded cyclically rather than steadily. The steel wire braid and the wider burst margin exist to survive that fatigue, not to carry higher static pressure.
Can I use it with a jack hammer or breaker?
Yes. Pneumatic application in industry, construction, open cast mines and quarries is the catalogued application, and that is precisely this duty.
Does the nitrile lining matter?
It does if your compressor is lubricated. Compressed air carries atomised oil, and oil swells and softens a natural rubber tube from the inside where nitrile resists it. It is the reason this grade outlasts a cheap air hose on the same line.
Do you supply whip checks and claw couplings?
We supply the hose and can supply it made up with couplings fitted. Whip restraints are safety equipment rather than hose and we do not supply them — but a percussive air hose specified without them is an incomplete order.
