What a lay flat water discharge hose, 10 bar is
A lay flat hose collapses to a flat ribbon when empty and rounds out under pressure. That is its whole advantage: a long run stores on a reel in a fraction of the space a round hose of the same bore needs, and rolls out over distance quickly.
It is used for delivery of water and water-based liquids in industrial, agricultural and construction applications. It is a discharge hose — see the limits below.
Working pressure is 150 PSI / 10 BAR across every bore. Minimum burst is 450 PSI / 30 BAR.

Smooth black SBR rubber compound. Formulated for water and water-based liquids rather than hydrocarbons.
Reinforcement
High-tensile synthetic plies. Textile plies with no helix wire, which is exactly what allows the hose to flatten.

Why it flattens, and what that costs you
There is no helix wire in the wall. That is what lets the hose collapse flat, and it is also exactly why it cannot be used on suction: pull a vacuum on it and it shuts.
For dewatering a site, running water across a compound or feeding irrigation from a pump outlet, lay flat is the efficient answer — one coil covers a long run and stores easily. For anything upstream of a pump, specify a helix-reinforced suction hose instead.
Couplings and fittings
Lay flat is normally terminated with band-clamped tails or dedicated lay flat couplings sized to the hose's outside diameter, which is published for every size in the table above.
Because the hose flattens, the clamp has to grip a wall that changes shape between empty and pressurised. Use the coupling type intended for lay flat rather than a generic worm-drive clamp, and tell us if you want assemblies made up.
What this hose is not for
Published because the wrong hose is a failure in service, not an inconvenience. If your duty is in this list, say so and we will route you to the right product or tell you plainly that we do not have it.
Discharge only. Not a suction hose.
There is no helix wire and the catalogue lists no vacuum rating. Under vacuum this hose collapses and stays collapsed. Never fit it upstream of a pump.
Not for oil, fuel or chemicals.
The tube is SBR, formulated for water and water-based liquids. Hydrocarbons attack it.
Not a potable-water certified hose.
We hold no drinking-water approval for this grade and make no potable claim.
Not a pressure hose for round-hose duty.
It is rated for its published working pressure, but it handles, abrades and couples differently from round hose. Do not substitute it into a round-hose installation without checking the fittings.

How do I get a quotation?

Can lay flat hose be used for suction?
No. There is no helix wire in the wall and the catalogue publishes no vacuum rating, so the hose collapses under suction and will not recover while the vacuum is applied. It is a discharge hose. For suction duty use a helix-reinforced water suction and discharge hose.
What coil lengths do you supply?
The catalogue prints a coil length for every size in the table above, and it is the same figure across the range. That is one of the few grades where a standard length is actually published, so it is stated rather than left open.
Why choose lay flat over a round water hose?
Storage and deployment. A flat hose reels into a fraction of the volume and rolls out over a long run quickly, which is why it suits dewatering and irrigation. A round hose is easier to couple conventionally and can be used on suction; lay flat cannot.
Is the pressure rating the same for every size?
Yes on this grade — the working and burst figures are constant across all thirteen sizes. The bore, outside diameter and coil length are what change, and all three are in the table above.
