The catalogue lists 26 hose products in four families. Family 01 is industrial rubber — water, air, rock drill, steam, sand blast, cable coolant and UHMWPE. Family 02 is hydraulic — SAE 100 R1, R2, R3, R6 and EN 856 four spiral. Family 03 is the 10 bar large bore transfer series. Family 04 is metallic and lined — stainless steel flexible hose, PTFE Teflon hose and the electrical insulating mat.
For a UAE buyer the value of a single catalogue is consolidation. A free zone distributor in Jebel Ali or Khalifa Industrial Zone is rarely serving one industry — the same warehouse supplies a drydock, a cement terminal and a workshop in the same week. Read the maximum figures in this table against bore, not in isolation. On the hydraulic hose products pressure falls steeply as the bore opens — SAE 100 R2 runs 5800 PSI / 400 BAR at 1/4 inch but 1160 PSI / 80 BAR at 2 inch — while the whole 10 bar transfer series holds a flat rating at every size. Only the Water Hose and Air Hose Type 1 and Type 2 carry BIS licences; every other entry marked “Exceeds IS” is measured against the standard without being licensed to it, which is a different claim. How to Select Across the Range of Hose Products
Medium, pressure, temperature, bore, then standard. Working down the range in that order eliminates three families in the first two steps.
1. Let the medium choose the family
Water, air and steam sit in Family 01. Hydraulic fluid under high pressure sits in Family 02. Anything moving in volume at low pressure sits in Family 03. Aggressive chemistry or heat beyond rubber sits in Family 04. Most hose products enquiries resolve to one family on this step alone.
2. Take working pressure from the bore, not the headline
Hydraulic hose products lose pressure rating as bore increases, and the fall is steep — SAE 100 R2 drops from 400 BAR to 80 BAR across its size range. Transfer hose products do not: the 10 bar series holds its rating at every bore. Quoting a headline figure against a large bore requirement is the commonest error across the whole catalogue.
3. Use the peak temperature, including transients
Service ranges run from −65 °C on the PTFE grade to +260 °C at the same product’s top end, with the two steam grades at +195 °C and +232 °C between them. Start-up, steam-out and clean-in-place cycles count. A hose selected on the normal running figure will meet the transient sooner or later.
4. Check the bore is catalogued in that grade
Not every bore exists in every one of the hose products. The 2 wire braid steam hose stops at 1.1/4 inch. SAE 100 R3 and R6 run 1/2 inch to 1 inch. Bulk material transfer starts at 25 mm. Confirming availability before quoting avoids a substitution that changes the flow or the rating.
5. Distinguish “conforming to” from “exceeds”
Three hose products carry a BIS licence: Water Hose to IS 444 Type 2 under CM/L 8400124510, and Air Hose Type 1 and Type 2 to IS 446 under CM/L 8400132105. Everything else marked against an IS number exceeds the standard without being licensed to it. Where a tender asks for a licensed product, that distinction decides the bid.
6. Consolidate the order before quoting
Because all four families of hose products ship from one plant, a mixed requirement is one purchase order, one set of documents and one container. For a UAE distributor building stock across several end markets, listing the whole requirement at enquiry stage produces better container utilisation than four separate orders placed as each need arises.

Family 02 is hydraulic: SAE 100 R1, R2, R3, R6 and EN 856 four spiral. Family 03 is the 10 bar large bore transfer series. Family 04 is metallic and lined, plus the electrical insulating mat.
Because the duties are different. A 10 bar transfer hose moves volume at low pressure and holds that rating at every bore. A four spiral hydraulic hose holds 420 BAR at small bore but is not a volume product. Ratings across these hose products should always be read against the bore rather than compared as headline figures.
From −65 °C at the bottom of the PTFE range to +260 °C at its top. Steam covers +195 °C and +232 °C in two grades. Hydraulic grades run −40 °C to +100 °C, or +120 °C on the four spiral. The industrial rubber grades sit between −40 °C and +100 °C depending on compound.
It is catalogued alongside the hose products but it is personal protective equipment rather than a hose. Made in India since 1996, ISI marked, ERDA and CPRI type tested, in three classes: 2.0 mm to 3.3 KV, 2.5 mm to 11 KV and 3.0 mm to 33 KV maximum use voltage. Leakage current and insulation resistance figures are on the product test certificate, available on request.
Conforming means the product is manufactured to the standard under a BIS licence, and the licence number is published. Exceeding means the product is measured against the standard and performs beyond it, without a licence. Three products conform and carry licences; the rest of the IS-referenced grades exceed. On a tender that asks for a licensed product this distinction is decisive.
The PTFE product is supplied as a made-to-length assembly with threaded, flanged or swivel ends. The SS flexible hose is supplied with threaded ends, flanges or swivel fittings to specification. The dry cement grade is available with or without end connections. Rubber hose products are generally coil stock, cut and coupled locally.

The UHMWPE chemical and food grade hose is, rated 240 PSI / 16 BAR from 3/4 inch to 4 inch at −20 °C to +120 °C. The rubber chemical grades are not offered on the export pages. Send the medium with the enquiry and the requirement will be directed to the correct product rather than assumed.
