PTFE Hose Supplier in UAE — SS PTFE Teflon Hose in 15 Proven Sizes
A PTFE hose carries a polytetrafluoroethylene liner inside a stainless steel braid, and is specified when the medium attacks rubber or the temperature exceeds it. FLEXI HOSE® catalogues the PTFE hose in 15 sizes from 3.5 mm to 50 mm, rated 3625 PSI / 250 BAR at 1/8 inch down to 435 PSI / 30 BAR at 2 inch, for −65 °C to +260 °C.

What Is a PTFE Hose?
A PTFE hose — often called a Teflon hose after the original trade name — replaces the rubber tube of a conventional hose with polytetrafluoroethylene, then carries the pressure on a stainless steel wire braid laid over it. The liner is close to chemically inert and does not soften where an elastomer would, so the PTFE hose survives media and heat that end the life of a rubber grade in weeks.
For a buyer in the Emirates the practical question is usually re-export rather than pure consumption. A large share of what lands at Jebel Ali and Khalifa Port is broken down, held in a free zone and moved onward across the Gulf and into East Africa. That changes what a distributor wants from a PTFE hose supplier: a full catalogued size ladder rather than three popular bores, consistent documentation on every consignment, and a manufacturer who will quote the same specification twelve months later.
The FLEXI HOSE® PTFE hose is catalogued for high temperature service on oil, steam, acid, diesel, petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical and food duty across −65 °C to +260 °C. Pressure falls as bore rises, from 3625 PSI / 250 BAR at 3.5 mm to 435 PSI / 30 BAR at 50 mm, with burst at four times working pressure throughout. Where an unlined metallic core suits better, see the SS flexible hose range; for large bore chemical transfer the UHMWPE hose covers the volume duty instead.

PTFE Hose in the FLEXI HOSE® Metallic and Lined Range
Four grades including the PTFE hose cover the aggressive-media and high-temperature duties shipped into the UAE. Every figure below is taken verbatim from the FLEXI HOSE® catalogue.

The PTFE hose grade covered on this page. Inert liner, stainless braid, fifteen sizes from 3.5 mm to 50 mm bore.

All-metal alternative where no liner is wanted at all, in AISI 304, 321 or 316L with stainless braid.

Large bore chemical transfer, where the requirement is volume rather than pressure or extreme heat.

The rubber option for saturated steam where +232 °C is enough and a lined assembly is not required.

| 50 | 2 inch | 56 | 2 | 435 | 30 | 1740 | 120 | 700 |
Two columns in this table deserve a second reading. Minimum bend radius grows far faster than bore does — 150 mm at 5/8 inch, 600 mm at 1.1/8 inch and 800 mm at 1.1/2 inch — so the PTFE hose is much less tolerant of a tight route than a rubber hose of the same size, and the route must be measured before the assembly length is fixed. The 2 inch row then reads 700 mm, lower than the 1.1/2 inch figure above it. That is how the catalogue prints it and it is published unchanged.
How to Select a PTFE Hose
Selecting a PTFE hose runs media, temperature, pressure, bore, then routing. On this product the routing step is the one most often skipped, and it is the one that causes failures.
1. Confirm the medium justifies the liner
The PTFE hose is catalogued for oil, steam, acid, diesel, petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical and food duty. If the medium is water, compressed air or hydraulic fluid inside a rubber temperature range, a rubber grade will do the same job for far less. The PTFE hose liner earns its cost on aggressive media, not on ordinary ones.
2. Check temperature at both extremes
Service is −65 °C to +260 °C. The upper figure usually drives selection, but the lower one matters on refrigerant and cryogenic duty where rubber has gone glass-hard. Take the peak process temperature including steam-out and clean-in-place cycles rather than the normal running figure.
3. Read pressure against the size, not the range
Working pressure falls steeply with bore: 3625 PSI / 250 BAR at 1/8 inch, 1631 PSI / 113 BAR at 1/2 inch, 725 PSI / 50 BAR at 1 inch and 435 PSI / 30 BAR at 2 inch. Quoting the headline 250 BAR figure against a 1 inch requirement over-states the PTFE hose by five times. It is the most common specification error made when ordering PTFE hose.
4. Size the bore on flow, then re-check pressure
Fifteen sizes are catalogued from 3.5 mm to 50 mm internal diameter. Because pressure and bore move against each other, a bore increase made for flow reasons has to be re-checked against the pressure column rather than assumed safe.
5. Check bend radius against the actual route
Minimum bend radius runs from 16 mm at 1/8 inch to 800 mm at 1.1/2 inch. A 1.1/8 inch PTFE hose needs 600 mm of clear radius, a much larger loop than most people picture when measuring a run. Measuring in three dimensions before fixing the length avoids ordering something that cannot be installed.
6. Specify the end fittings with the enquiry
A PTFE hose ships as a made-up assembly, not as coil stock, so the end connection is part of the product rather than an accessory. Sending fitting type, thread or flange standard and overall assembly length with the first enquiry produces one quotation instead of three rounds of clarification.
Where PTFE Hose Is Used Across the UAE
Downstream processing at Ruwais, free zone re-export through Jebel Ali, ship repair and aluminium — four industries with very different reasons for specifying an inert liner.
Ruwais downstream and petrochemicals
The refining and petrochemical complex in Al Dhafra runs solvents, aromatics and catalyst slurries that permeate or swell a rubber tube over time. Sample points, pump connections and additive injection lines are where the inert liner removes the permeation question outright, and where the PTFE hose appears repeatedly on specification.
Free zone re-export and distributor stock
Distributors in Jebel Ali and Khalifa Industrial Zone hold PTFE hose stock for onward movement across the Gulf and into East Africa. Fifteen catalogued sizes rather than a stocked handful is what lets a free zone trader answer an unusual bore enquiry from inventory instead of losing the order to a lead time.
Ship repair and marine engineering
Drydock work at Dubai Maritime City and the Fujairah anchorage covers fuel, lube oil and hydraulic circuits alongside solvent flushing during overhaul. Assemblies built to length with the correct fittings suit yard work, where a PTFE hose is fitted once and not cut from a coil at the quayside.
Aluminium smelting and metals
Potline and cast house operations at Jebel Ali and Al Taweelah involve high radiant heat and aggressive fluxing chemistry. The +260 °C ceiling puts the PTFE hose above every rubber option in the catalogue, which matters where the hose sits near molten metal rather than carrying it.
Pharmaceutical and food production
Nothing leaches from the liner and it tolerates repeated steam sterilisation and clean-in-place cycles. Manufacturers in Dubai Science Park, Dubai Industrial City and the Sharjah food cluster use the smaller PTFE hose bores on transfer and filling lines for exactly that reason.
Instrumentation and analyser lines
Sample lines feeding gas chromatographs and process analysers must not contaminate the sample. The 1/8 inch and 1/4 inch sizes — also the highest rated in the range at 3625 and 2719 PSI — are the ones used across UAE process plant for this duty.
Why Buy PTFE Hose Direct from the Manufacturer
Vardhman Hydraulic Hoses Pvt. Ltd. has manufactured under the FLEXI HOSE® brand since 1980, from a single plant at Bhiwadi, Rajasthan.
Factory direct, no trading layer
You buy from the plant that mixes the compound and builds the hose. That means the specification you are quoted is the specification that is manufactured, and a technical question is answered by the people who made the product rather than by a reseller.
A full size ladder for re-export stock
Fifteen sizes from 3.5 mm to 50 mm, including the 10.3 mm, 22.2 mm and 28 mm bores that instrumentation and process equipment specify. For a free zone distributor serving several Gulf markets from one warehouse, catalogue breadth is what converts an enquiry rather than a discount.
Three ports, three lead times
Fujairah at 3–5 days, Jebel Ali and Khalifa Port at 4–6 and Ras Al Khaimah at 5–7 give genuine routing choice. An assembly for a drydock at Fujairah does not have to move through Jebel Ali first, which removes a road leg and a day from an urgent replacement.
Rubber, metallic and lined from one source
Most process plants need all three. Ordering PTFE hose alongside steam, hydraulic, transfer and stainless products on one purchase order removes a vendor from the approval process and consolidates four families into a single container.
Complete export document set
Every shipment carries a commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, bill of lading and test certificates. Terms are FOB, CIF or CFR ex Nhava Sheva (JNPT) or Mundra Port, so customs clearance is not held up on paperwork.
Delivery, Ports and Transit to the UAE
Shipped ex Nhava Sheva (JNPT) or Mundra Port on FOB, CIF or CFR terms. Transit times below are sea transit and exclude clearance.
| UAE port | Serves | Transit (days) |
|---|---|---|
| Fujairah | East coast bunkering, ship repair and anchorage services | 3–5 |
| Jebel Ali | Free zone re-export, Dubai industrial and distributor stock | 4–6 |
| Khalifa Port | Abu Dhabi, KIZAD and Ruwais downstream complex | 4–6 |
| Port Khalid | Sharjah manufacturing and the food processing cluster | 4–6 |
| Ras Al Khaimah | Northern Emirates quarrying, ceramics and cement | 5–7 |
Because Fujairah sits outside the Strait of Hormuz it is frequently the fastest route for an urgent assembly, and it is the reason a UAE buyer has more useful routing choice than most Gulf markets. Every PTFE hose is a made-to-length assembly, so the production window rather than sea transit usually sets the delivery date — sending sizes, lengths and fitting details with the enquiry lets manufacture start on order confirmation instead of after a drawing exchange.

People Also Ask
Short answers to the questions UAE process, marine and distribution buyers search for most often.
What is a PTFE hose used for?
High temperature and chemically aggressive duty: oil, steam, acid, diesel, petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical and food service. It is chosen where an elastomer tube would swell, permeate or soften, rather than where pressure alone is the problem.
Is PTFE hose the same as Teflon hose?
Yes. Teflon is a trade name for polytetrafluoroethylene, and the two terms describe the same material. This product is catalogued as SS PTFE Teflon Hose — a PTFE liner with a stainless steel braid laid over it.
What temperature can a PTFE hose handle?
−65 °C to +260 °C. That is 28 °C above the two wire braid rubber steam hose at the top of the range, and far below what any rubber grade tolerates at the bottom.
What is the maximum pressure?
3625 PSI / 250 BAR working at 1/8 inch, which is the smallest and highest rated PTFE hose size in the range. Pressure falls as bore rises, reaching 435 PSI / 30 BAR at 2 inch. Bursting pressure is four times working pressure at every size.
Which UAE port is fastest?
Fujairah, at 3–5 days from Nhava Sheva or Mundra, because it lies outside the Strait of Hormuz. Jebel Ali, Khalifa Port and Port Khalid are 4–6 days and Ras Al Khaimah is 5–7.
What sizes are exported to the UAE?
All fifteen catalogued internal diameters from 3.5 mm to 50 mm, which is 1/8 inch to 2 inch. Assemblies are built to length with the specified end fittings and can ship alongside the rubber and stainless families on one order.
PTFE Hose — Frequently Asked Questions
Specification, construction and export questions, answered from the FLEXI HOSE® catalogue.
The inner liner is polytetrafluoroethylene, extruded as a smooth tube, with a stainless steel wire braid applied over it. The liner provides chemical resistance and temperature capability while the braid carries the pressure. Wall thickness runs from 0.6 to 2 in the units printed in the catalogue, varying with size.
Fifteen internal diameters: 3.5, 4.8, 6.4, 8, 10, 10.3, 12.7, 16, 19, 22.2, 25.4, 28, 32, 38 and 50 mm. In inches that is 1/8 through to 2 inch, including the 13/32, 7/8 and 1.1/8 inch sizes that instrumentation and process equipment often specify.
From 3625 PSI / 250 BAR at 1/8 inch down to 435 PSI / 30 BAR at 2 inch. Intermediate figures include 2719 PSI / 188 BAR at 1/4 inch, 1631 PSI / 113 BAR at 1/2 inch and 725 PSI / 50 BAR at 1 inch. The full table of all fifteen sizes is published above.
Bursting pressure is four times working pressure at every catalogued size, from 14500 PSI / 1000 BAR at 1/8 inch to 1740 PSI / 120 BAR at 2 inch. Burst is a destructive test figure demonstrating the safety margin. It is not an operating allowance.
Because the catalogue prints them as pairs and they are reproduced exactly as printed rather than converted. Recalculating one from the other independently can produce a number that does not match the figure the PTFE hose was built and tested against.
Yes. Shipments are made on FOB, CIF or CFR terms ex Nhava Sheva (JNPT) or Mundra Port and consigned to whichever UAE port and address you nominate, free zone or mainland. Every consignment carries commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, bill of lading and test certificates.
The two wire braid steam grade is rated 250 PSI / 17 BAR to +232 °C in bores from 1/2 inch to 1.1/4 inch. The PTFE hose reaches +260 °C and, at small bores, much higher pressure — but it is an assembly rather than coil stock and costs considerably more. Steam alone does not justify it; aggressive media do.
Threaded ends, flanges and swivel fittings to customer specification. Because the assembly is built at the plant that manufactures the PTFE hose, the liner, the braid and the end connection remain the responsibility of a single supplier rather than being split across two.
Internal diameter, overall assembly length, end fitting type and thread or flange standard, the medium being carried, peak temperature, working pressure and the discharge port. With those seven items a quotation can be issued without a clarification round, which is what makes same-day turnaround possible.
